Security review for Butter Labs pilots
Butter Labs discusses data flow, retention, access control, subprocessors, deployment model, audit logs, human handoff, incident handling and deletion during technical discovery. We do not make certification or compliance claims until they have been verified and approved by a named owner.
What we cover during technical discovery
- Data flow: where call audio, transcripts, and customer data travel between telephony, the AI platform, your systems, and any review tooling.
- Retention: how long each class of data is stored and how it is deleted.
- Access control: which roles can view transcripts, recordings, or integration logs.
- Subprocessors: the third-party providers used for transcription, telephony, hosting, or analytics.
- Deployment model: whether the pilot runs in a shared or isolated environment.
- Audit logs: what actions are logged and how they are protected.
- Human handoff: how transfers are triggered and what context is passed to agents.
- Incident handling: how we detect, report, and respond to security incidents.
Our evidence policy
We keep customer names, savings, accuracy, security and integration claims out of public copy until a named owner approves the source.
